Psalm 139:12-24

New International Version

¹²even the darkness will not be dark^(A) to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.

¹³For you created my inmost being;^(B)
    you knit me together^(C) in my mother’s womb.^(D)
¹⁴I praise you^(E) because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,^(F)
    I know that full well.
¹⁵My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made^(G) in the secret place,
    when I was woven together^(H) in the depths of the earth.^(I)
¹⁶Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained^(J) for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.
¹⁷How precious to me are your thoughts,^[a]^(K) God!^(L)
    How vast is the sum of them!
¹⁸Were I to count them,^(M)
    they would outnumber the grains of sand^(N)—
    when I awake,^(O) I am still with you.

¹⁹If only you, God, would slay the wicked!^(P)
    Away from me,^(Q) you who are bloodthirsty!^(R)
²⁰They speak of you with evil intent;
    your adversaries^(S) misuse your name.^(T)
²¹Do I not hate those^(U) who hate you, Lord,
    and abhor^(V) those who are in rebellion against you?
²²I have nothing but hatred for them;
    I count them my enemies.^(W)
²³Search me,^(X) God, and know my heart;^(Y)
    test me and know my anxious thoughts.
²⁴See if there is any offensive way^(Z) in me,
    and lead me^(AA) in the way everlasting.
